How to Repair Your Vehicle in Rage 2: A Simple Guide

After diving into the chaotic world of Rage 2, you’ll quickly get your hands on the Phoenix, your trusty starting vehicle. But the wasteland is vast and filled with enemy vehicles, some of which you might want to add to your collection. This guide will walk you through the process of storing and, crucially, repairing your vehicles in Rage 2, ensuring you’re always ready for the next fight or exploration.

Storing Vehicles in Rage 2

To start storing vehicles you commandeer in Rage 2, you’ll need to invest in the “Vehicles Extension” project. This upgrade is found within the Projects menu under the “Basic Projects” tab. Unlocking it requires Project Points, which you should accumulate naturally by playing through the early missions of the game. You’ll need to unlock a couple of preceding projects before you can get to Vehicles Extension, but it shouldn’t take long to gather enough points.

Once you’ve unlocked the Vehicles Extension, the next step is to find a vehicle you want to keep. Venture out into the open world and liberate a vehicle from any enemy faction you encounter. Once you’ve successfully acquired a new ride, drive it to one of the main hub cities in Rage 2, such as Gunbarrel or Wellspring. Park the stolen vehicle close to your Phoenix near the city gates. If you’re in the right spot, a prompt will appear, giving you the option to store your newly acquired vehicle for later use.

After storing vehicles in Rage 2, accessing them is easy. Simply navigate to the “Vehicles” tab in the game’s menu, and you can summon any vehicle in your collection to your current location whenever you need it.

Repairing Vehicles in Rage 2

Vehicle repair in Rage 2 is much more streamlined than in the original Rage. Forget about searching for garages; in Rage 2, repairing your vehicle is incredibly simple. When your vehicle takes damage, just approach it on foot and hold down the left bumper button. This will instantly repair your vehicle, getting you back in action quickly.

This straightforward method works for all vehicles currently available in Rage 2. As Bethesda plans to release further updates and content for Rage 2, it’s possible we’ll see even more vehicles added to the game, all of which you’ll be able to store and repair using these methods.

Rage 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
